Server Monitoring and Response
Alerts are the key to server monitoring, and should be addressed as such. Here, we handle things very particularly @ Linux Tech Networks
Phase One: Email alerts
Email alerts are sent out to our phones once the server is down for 5 consecutive checks. This means that we will know about this instantly, with advanced technology built into the Windows Mobile Operating System (activesync) checking and keeping things updated constantly. Nothing has ever been past this specific phase.
Phase Two: Phone alerts
In rare cases, a phone call will be necessary. We have a voip notification system in development, it will be available as soon as possible.
